LAMBORGHINI BLANCPAIN SUPER TROFEO SERIES HEATS UP VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

World-famous Virginia International Raceway was the setting for the most recent date in 2013’s North American program of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Series.
Fourteen cars took to the grid during two-days of track action in Alton, Virginia, less than a mile from the North Carolina border. The race saw returning drivers like Kevin Conway for Lamborghini Carolinas -- who placed second in Round Seven on Friday, October 4th – as well as newcomers like Andrew Palmer for Lamborghini Beverly Hills.
Lamborghini was also host to several television personalities at VIR, including former Olympic gold-medalist Bruce Jenner as well as racer and “The World’s Fastest Car Show” host Justin Bell.
“The standard of driving was of the highest quality,” commented Bell, who placed first in Round Seven. “I have to give huge congratulations to Lamborghini on the car and what they have achieved with this series.”
The second day of racing on Saturday, October 5th proved a good one for amateur Andrew Palmer, who took the first position with a time of 1:54.269. Bruce Jenner, along with his son Brandon, placed seventh with a time of 1:56.122.
Between the high-speed competition among professionals, amateurs and celebrities, and the fabulous hospitality provided by Lamborghini America, an enjoyable weekend was had by all.
