MONTEREY WEEK MEETS INSTINCTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Monterey Week is one of those events that get into your blood. You decide to visit, spend a few packed days taking in the cars, scenery and hospitality of one of the world’s premier automotive celebrations…and as soon as it’s over, you’re counting the days until next year.

This year’s event had an extra attraction. Lamborghini’s presence at McCalls’ Motorworks Revival, The Quail, Concorso Italiano and the Concours d’Elegance wasn’t simply a static display. Instead, owners, prospects and media guests had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the new Huracán to experience the ‘Instinctive Technology’ of Lamborghini out on the road.

Guests who took advantage of the Lamborghini hospitality package had the opportunity to drive the models of their choice from Thursday through Sunday during Monterey Week, setting out from the Lamborghini base at Quail Lodge. They also enjoyed the prime vantage point of the Lamborghini patio on Sunday for the climax of the week as the Concours d’Elegance winners were announced. Displays on the Super Trofeo race series and the Ad Personam personalization program also drew a lot of interest.

Being able to drive the two latest Lamborghini models provided a fascinating contrast with the classic automobiles that were celebrated throughout the event. Yet as many of our guests commented, the past and the future intersect perfectly; the classic cars that became icons were ahead of their time in design, technology and engineering. So it’s entirely possible that Pebble Beach 2064 will see an Aventador crowned ‘Best in Show.’ But until then, don’t store it – drive it!
