LAMBORGHINI LOOKS BACK ON RECORD YEAR

Automobili Lamborghini will look back on 2013 with fond memories, as the 12 months served as a banner year for the Italian automaker. ‘‘In the year of our 50th anniversary, Lamborghini has delivered a very satisfying performance confirming the strength of our product and commercial strategy,’’ said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. ‘‘Even in its last year of production the Lamborghini Gallardo has shown strong sales, whereas the Aventador has beaten all records of V12 model sales in our history. The USA and China are our biggest single markets, the Middle East and Japan are very strong and Europe is in line with the trend in our market segment.’’

Worldwide, the company saw deliveries surpass the 2,100 mark at 2,121 units delivered. Distribution saw a healthy balance across all markets in its three regions: EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) at 34%, America at 36% and Asia Pacific at 30%. The all-new flagship V12 Aventador LP 700-4 has been the most successful selling V12 in the history of the brand as more than 1,000 units have been delivered to customers. Coupe and Roadster versions are still being delivered to clients as the order bank for both extends into the next 12 months. Despite its final year of production, the Lamborghini Gallardo, the most successful Lamborghini of all time with 14,022 units produced overall, sold quite well with 1,120 units in 2013 alone.

As the company continues to grow, it is also expanding and has recently hired 100 more professionals in Sant’Agata Bolognese alone to help accommodate the demand. Of these new employees, 30% are female and
another handful comes from the popular apprenticeship program offered by Lamborghini. The total number of employees at Lamborghini is now 1,029 and this number is expected to increase in 2014. In order to create value for each employee and maintain its reputation as an attractive employer, Lamborghini promotes quality, transparency and individual motivation along with a good work-life balance.

The future is bright for Lamborghini with the upcoming release of the all-new Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4. Sales events for the new car are currently taking place across North America with orders and deposits showing a strong interest in the vehicle even before its public reveal at the Geneva Motor Show this March. Stay tuned for more details as Lamborghini continues to expand, grow and impress.
